Dear Prospective New Member,
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of our Co-op!
Pioneer Gallery and Gifts has been open since 1972. We currently have approximately 58 members most of whom live in the area. Our shop is open a total of 231 days from March-December. (We are open on weekends only in March, April, November, and December.)
Members pay a yearly membership fee of $50 and the shop takes 35% of members’ sales price. (You have control of the sale price of your products.) Members keep track of their own inventory, and are paid for products sold monthly. All new products must be approved by our Quality Control Committee.
Benefits of membership include free outdoor craft event table space (reservations required). At these free outdoor events, members can sell additional products/craft supplies/etc. outside and keep 100% of sales. (We ask that your products for sale inside the shop not be removed for sale outside.) Our outdoor craft sales will be held throughout the season. Members also receive a shop discount on all products for sale in the shop. (The discount comes out of the 35% shop percentage).
As a new trial member, you will be asked to pay a $20 membership fee and work two days in the shop alongside another member who will teach you how to run the shop. After your first year, you have the option to become a full-time member. Full-time members work in the shop 5 days during the season.
Pioneer Crafts is a fun place to be, and you will meet some very interesting and talented people!
